ENG – FAST Party secures a clear parliamentary majority of 30 seats in Parliament after official count
The Official Count for the 2025 General Election is now complete: FAST Party 30 | HRPP 14 | Samoa Uniting Party 3 | Independents 4. With 51 seats declared, Sāmoa Capital Radio confirms the FAST Party has secured a clear parliamentary majority with 30 seats, officially winning the election.
Under the Constitution, 10% of Parliament must be women MPs, which requires 6 women in total. So far, 5 women have secured their seats outright by winning their constituencies. One additional women’s seat will now be declared to meet this requirement, bringing the total number of seats in the new Parliament to 52 MPs.
